Even Our Dreams
Could we ever have guessed
That our being, breathing, believing
Would coalesce so harmoniously,
Whenever we touch each other,
Compelling our rushing blood
To slow to a lush flow,
Filling the wellsprings
Of our selves' sensibilities,
With the glow from our souls' eyes,
So that even when our dreams
Lie side by side, in sleep's caress,
Illuminating the future
Waiting to guide our hearts,
They breathe the belief of our being?
